Plus Code ↔ Coordinates
Convert a Google Plus Code to latitude and longitude, or build a Plus Code from coordinates. Precise location for local SEO and Business Profile.
A full code (8GHC2X5H+79) or a short code with its place, as Google Maps shows it (P3R2+FP Kartepe, Kocaeli). For short codes write the Turkish province, or a nearby coordinate (P3R2+FP 40.76, 29.94).
Paste both values together, as Google Maps copies them. Decimal degrees.

What is a Plus Code?
A Plus Code (Open Location Code, an open standard by Google) is a short address for a place that has no street address. It is built from latitude and longitude, so any spot on earth has one. A full code like 849VCWC8+R9 points to a cell about 14×14 metres; add one more character for roughly 3 metres.
How to read a full code
- The first 8 characters locate a wider area, the
+comes next, and the characters after it narrow it down. - A short code like
P3R2+FP Kartepe, Kocaelidrops the first characters and relies on the place name to fill them in. This tool resolves short codes against the centre of the Turkish province you write; for places far from the centre, use the full code.
Why it matters for local SEO
- Google Business Profile: a precise pin helps customers find the exact entrance, especially in a building, a market or a street with no clear numbering.
- Consistent location data: the same latitude/longitude across your website, maps and directories is a positive local signal. A Plus Code is an easy way to write and share that point.
- Addresses that do not exist: a new site, a stand, a plot or a rural business can still be shared precisely.
