Slug / URL Generator
Turn titles into clean URL slugs. Simplifies Turkish characters, can drop stop-words and processes many titles at once.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you enter is not sent to a server, not saved and not stored in cookies.
What makes a good URL slug?
A slug is the readable part of a URL after the domain. A good slug is short, lower case, uses hyphens between words and contains no Turkish-specific letters, spaces or punctuation, so it stays clean when shared and copied.
Why transliterate Turkish letters?
Letters like ç, ğ, ı, ö, ş, ü are valid in URLs but get percent-encoded (ş becomes %C5%9F) when shared, which makes links long and ugly. This tool turns them into c, g, i, o, s, u and removes everything a slug should not contain.
Should I remove stop-words?
- On: drops short words like “ve, ile, the, a” for a tighter slug. Good for long titles.
- Off: keeps every word. Safer when the small word carries meaning.
Paste many titles at once, one per line; each line becomes a slug. Nothing is sent to a server.
