XML Sitemap Generator
Paste your URL list and get a standards-compliant sitemap.xml that removes duplicates and flags invalid addresses, ready to download.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. What you enter is not sent to a server, not saved and not stored in cookies.
An XML sitemap gives search engines a list of the important pages on your site. It helps pages get discovered faster, especially on new or large sites and sites with weak internal linking. This tool turns a URL list you already have into a standards-compliant sitemap.xml.
How to use it
- Paste your URL list, one address per line. You can copy a column from Excel or a crawler.
- For lastmod pick today, a specific date or leave it out.
- The tool removes duplicate, invalid and off-domain addresses automatically; check the notes.
- Download sitemap.xml, upload it to the site root and submit it in Search Console.
Frequently asked questions
Is a sitemap required for SEO?
No, but it is recommended. On a small site with good internal links Google finds pages anyway; on large or new sites a sitemap speeds up discovery.
How many URLs can a sitemap hold?
50,000 URLs or 50 MB uncompressed. Larger sites use several sitemaps and a sitemap index that lists them.
Which pages should stay out of the sitemap?
Redirecting URLs, 404s, noindex pages, copies whose canonical points elsewhere and parameter variations.
Do changefreq and priority matter?
Google ignores both. It uses lastmod when it is consistently accurate.
Why doesn’t the tool crawl my site?
Crawling means our server fetching pages from any address you type; we keep that door closed for security. Export the list from SEO Rank Up AI, Screaming Frog or your CMS instead.
Rather scan your whole site with an AI skill than check links one by one?
technical-seo-skill is an open-source skill I built that works like a technical SEO specialist inside your AI agent (Claude Code or Codex). It discovers every URL on your domain and subdomains, checks robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemaps, titles, descriptions, canonicals, H1s, hreflang and schema, finds broken internal links, orphan pages and oversized images, and hands you an Excel report with a prioritised task list.
Give the link to your AI
In Claude Code or Codex, paste a request like this and change the domain. The agent installs the skill and runs the audit.
Install the skill at https://github.com/AndacGuven/technical-seo-skill and run a technical SEO audit for https://example.com. Give me the Excel report and the most urgent fixes first.
Install it yourself
Clone the repository into your agent’s skills folder and restart the agent. Or download the v1.0.0-alpha release from GitHub’s Releases section and put SKILL.md and technical_seo_skill.py in the same folder.

Why a URL list and not a crawl?
Crawling a site means our server would fetch pages from any address you type. That opens a door we keep closed, so this tool builds the sitemap from a list you already have, entirely in your browser. SEO Rank Up AI, Screaming Frog or your CMS can export that list.
Good sitemap habits
- Only canonical, indexable pages. Leave out redirects, 404s,
noindexpages and parameter variants. - lastmod should be true. Google uses it when it is consistently accurate and ignores it when it is not. changefreq and priority are ignored by Google.
- 50,000 URLs or 50 MB per file. Larger sites split into several sitemaps and a sitemap index.
- Upload it to the site root and add it to Search Console and to
robots.txt.
